In the previous post, I began sharing the story of my dealings with the incompetent “representatives” at my mortgage company, PNC Mortgage and my December mortgage payment.
I was extremely hesitant to make my January payment before the December payment situation was rectified. With the “representatives” of PNC Mortgage being unable to decipher their own accounting mistake for December, throwing another payment in the mix would cause them to suffer a permanent meltdown.
As time marched on and no resolution in sight, I had to break down and make a payment. I was told by the PNC rep that he would make sure the payment was credited to January and that PNC would have the December fiasco sorted out in 48 to 72 hours.
On January 6th I made a “Speedpay” to PNC for my January payment. (I knew what was coming). Sure enough, when posted to my account, my January payment was posted to December. The incompetents at PNC were still unable to decipher their on postings which I could pull up on my account online.
More hours were spent on hold and trying to explain the situation to the reps at PNC Mortgage. The fools were so adamant in their assertion that PNC was right and I was wrong, they could not see the forest for the trees.
I now had the PNC Collections Police sending recorded messages to my home phone. I was told I was going to be reported to the credit bureaus.
I began making plans to contact a lawyer through our service at work. PNC would not listen. Would not believe they could have made a mistake.
PNC thought they were going to turn up the fire. On 01-10-12, a real human being from PNC called the house. I went through the entire story for around the 7th time BUT this time, the person I was talking to seemed to have a brain. I was put on hold a few times and then Michael from PNC made a earth shattering statement.
After giving me his direct line he assured me he would get the situation resolved.
On 01-11-12 Michael from PNC Mortgage called me at the house. He advised me that everything was resolved and it will show in my account on line in a couple of days.
Will update this in a day or two. I’m cautiously optimistic that this fiasco is going to finally be resolved. STAY TUNED.
